Blogs: Emotional Outlets?
I think that Donnie bought up a good point in a comment he left on a post of mine. There was a comic in our local newspaper that made blogs out to be "emotional outlets" as Donnie put it. After his comment I started to remember past experiences and reading articles about how blogs are conveyed. My brothers will even say sometimes, "go write that on your blog." If they would actually go around and look at different blogs they would notice that not that many people are wining or complaining out how pathetic the world is or how miserable their lives are. Most blogs that I have enjoyed are mainly informative. Some are world news, others are genre specific. Some look to just put their thoughts out there and others look to put breaking or interesting/useful news for others to use. Even ones that I have just looked over and not really read aren't an 'emotional outlet'. Donnie also pointed out how people and media confuse MySpace and blogs. Mmmm, two totally different concepts. Myspace is all about pictures and trying to look or sound "available", or at least that's the message I get when I see one. MySpacer's may say differently, but I thinks that's it true. There are some 'Spacer's' on the track team and all they talk about is their pictures. Don't get me wrong, pictures are fun, but 'Spacer' pictures are about trying to look "hot" so that you can get as many comments as possible. Lame? I'm not dissing on MySpace, I'm just dissing on what it has become. I think that it was a great idea when it debuted, but it has since gone to hell. My friend has a Myspace and I have never actually looked through the entire page, it just seems too cluttered and messy(not your page Jamie just the setup of MySpace itself). If I had to choose between a classy blog or a MySpace I would....Well I think you all already know that answer. But if I'm totally wack in my reasoning let me know.

ha, I think Myspace should recode everything.. so far now they have banned .swf [flash files] and the embed tag...basicaly taking videos out of everyones pages as well, I dont think they'll be too happy about that haha banning these things will basically kill myspace... and it's popularity...
