Congratulations Alex And The Phoenix Pirates

Tonight my brother Alex played an entire quarter helping the Pirates roll over Illinois Valley with a 53-8 victory in their homecoming game. My brother gave one kickoff and had a couple really clean tackles, then other assists and good blocks. Though he is a pretty big kid for his age, 6'.5" and 185lbs and age 14, he looked tiny compared to the other varsity guys he tackled. I was pretty stoked for him because he the first freshman in a long time to make the varsity squad. He made the team as a linebacker and kicker. Phoenix is now 7-1 on the season and 6-0 league, has clinched the Skyline title, and had a 6th place ranking in state before this game. They may go up in the rankings though, Elmira, ranked 3rd in state, recorded their first loss of the season. Anywho, I think that the Pirates will turn some heads in the playoffs. GOOD JOB PIRATES!
