Moleskine #1: Complete

Finally, I've finished my first Moleskine. When I started in May I was sceptical if i was even going to use it. I've never really been a note taker or an avid planner, but after starting college and joing the track team, I realized that I had a whole list of things I had to do before the day was out, but always forgot. So when Donnie told me to get a Moleskine, I folded under peer pressure and bought one at the bookstore.

I tried not to limit myself on what I wrote down in my Skine, I wanted it to be an all around daily notebook. It's filled with 'To-Do' lists, chores, practice schedules, mid-term and final dates, meet times and locations, bizare and awkward encounters with many of the wierdos in Asland, and random drawings when I needed to relax or take my mind off of life.

When I finished my last page I started to look back on how I used my notebook. Soon after, I wondered how my friends and others I had recruited to the 'little black book' used their Moleskine. My brother uses one page per day, reflecting only one the front side and taking notes on the back. My friend Donnie bought a reporter and uses it just for his construction job. He takes down orders orders for the company and sites specific info that he'll need to record on the computer.

I'm totally excited to have finished my first Moleskine. There have been so many wierd moments at school that I was able to write down and keep as a memory. It's awesome to be able to just flip through the pages and see the what happened on a specific day of my life. Whats even better is that the Moleskine won't fry from over use or get a virus. That is the benefit of going analog. And analog is much more personal, sometimes I really have to think about what I want to write when on a computer. But when using my Moleskine, I am able to move my words like a prize fighter.

I have had a totally awesome time with my first Moleskine and ready to start my new one.
