I think that I will start taking my camera to school so that I can start capturing the real life of an SOU student. Donnie has started this with his U of O collection and few SOU pictures.

School...Meh

It was an interesting first day of school. I woke up on time for 8am class, saw more people in one day then I had seen in an entire year, rushed around getting another class and a parking permit, was boxed in with 1/2 foot to work with in front and back, rushed home to find out I have to go back and get more books. How lovely does that sound.

It was odd walking around campus because for some reason everyone knew me and I had no idea what the hell was going on. People were slapping me on the back asking how my summer was and what classes I was taking. And it wasn't a case of mistaken identity, they engaged me with, "Hey Adam!" I didn't know I knew that many people. I met friends(6) I hadn't seen in a year, then numerous others I didn't even know were still alive. I saw this gal a few times, I think.

I had a math teacher that was brand new. As he was helping me with an equation, I could see that his shirt was shaking for his nervousness, then when he pointed to my paper his hand just would stay still. When he was up in front of the class he went through a problem on he board, when someone asked him to rephrase everything he had trouble finding all the right words, started to talk to himself, then studder, and literally turned blood red in his face and hands. I do feel sorry for the guy, but I don't want his inexperience to rub off on how he teaches thus affecting my grade in any way.

Then after all my classes were over and it was time for me to head home, I was delayed, again. When I got to my vehicle I noticed that I had no more then a half foot in back and a half foot in front to back out of. Doesn't being boxed in sound great. Savages in this town(Ashland). So, I used my wheelman skills and backed my shit outta there. To reward myself for surviving the day, I treated myself to some Giseppi's . Old man Giseppi is an angel sent to earth to bless us with his craft, Pizza.

2006 Moleskine Weekly Planner

The 2006 Moleskine weekly planner is awesome. I am totally getting one for school. It has a whole lot features that will help keep me on track during school, and other shit that I don't need, but would enjoy showing off to others that ask about the "little black book". When buying something of this quality and usefulness, money isn't a factor.

It has a map with all the time zones, holidays for different countries, currency conversions, international seasonal average temperature chart, distance chart, dialing codes, measures & conversions and international sizes, itinerary, a section to enter 'a-whole-lota' personal information, a section in back for notes, and a address book. HEAVEN! And as always they have a rigid, durable oilcloth bound 'Moleskine' cover and sturdy thread bound binding with fine Italian acid-free paper pages. Moleskine journals also have a built-in elastic closure that holds the sturdy cover closed when not in use, a black ribbon placeholder, and an expandable accordion pocket in the back made of cardboard and oilcloth for holding tickets, notes and clippings.

I will probably go for the large planner because the pocket just doesn't seem to have enough room for all the notes I would take. Any who, I think in would be a classy addition to any M collection.

Nike Free 5.0

I just picked up some new Nike Free 5.0's from the mall this morning. They are amazing. Mainly designed as a running shoe, but I've already determined that they will make a great slipper as well. I've already taken a short run, anything too long and I think that they wont have enough cushion for all the pounding. But they will make a great shoe for track workout when school starts up here in a week or so. I tried to get some that are SOU colors, but they didn't have my size.

It's not new, but it works

We found an older ('02) Sony VAIO notebook amongst my mom's things, and just like that, my hopes for a new computer float away*waves goodbye*. It's not so bad though, it has everything I need for writing school papers and it still has it's wireless card in it so internet is available. I guess my mom had it completly cleaned out then forgot about it, so it's still pretty fast for being ancient in the tech world. I just have to transfer all my old files from our other desktop and download FireFox. And I'm a Sony lover!!!

Anyone know where to get a classy notebook bag?

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I have to say that this movie looks incredible. I haven't read the books, but the brand new trailer caught me with it's tractor beam and sucked me right in::tractor beam sound::. I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter, I'm not a weirdo about it, but I would definitely dress up to go see the Goblet of Fire. I mean it would be so easy, I already have the the awesome hair and striped rugby shirts, we'll see( Donnie, if you want to come, you can be Ron). I'm totally adding this to my H.P. DVD collection.

Hell Starts in 12 Days...Starting Now

It's incredible how short summer is now that I've started college. In high school all the little vacations seemed so long, probably because I went to school to see my friends and not to learn. But without my friends in all my classes, I look for every break to catch up. There's like 12 days till SOU starts back up again and I still have 1 more class to register for. SOU is pretty bad about updating the available classes online, and I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Ashland(not to mention gas prices). So I'm stuck trying to dig through the messy SOU website trying to find a class, that changes like every 6 hours or so. I mean check this out, I love the graphics. It should be an interesting year.

All Juiced Up

Finally! Cable internet was connected back up this morning. At 9am or so my sister let the 'cable guy', as I put it, into my room this morning while I was sleeping. It wouldn't have been a problem, except for the fact that my sister doesn't know that I sleep in the nude. So, as awkward as it already was, I had to ask the guy to leave so that I could get dressed. That'll really wake you up at 9am, a repulsive cable guy asking where to hook up the modem as he wipes his entire forearm across his nose to prevent the snot from running down on his upper lip. MMMMMMMmmmmmmMMMHHH!

A Sad Day for Football

At 42 years of age and after 20 professional seasons, Jerry Rice chooses retirement over 5th reciever spot for the Broncos'. Rice, my favorite reciever of all time, left the National Football League with 38 records. Rice, the master of one handed receptions, is the leagues alltime leader in catches (1,549), recieveing yards (22,895), and touchdown receptions (197). Being a Niner fan, even through the rough years, I remained loyal to any team Rice played for (Niners, Raiders, Seahawks, Broncos). Before '95, I had been to four home Niners' games and went to the Pro Bowl in 2003. My father had been to about 8 Niners' games and about 3 Pro Bowls. We're a Niner family. My Niners card collection has come a long way with 25 Joe Montana's, 18 Jerry Rice's, and others: Ronnie Lott, John Taylor, and Steve Young. I even have a shirt that exclaims my love for the 49ers. Jerry Rice will be missed.

Congradulations Phoenix!

Being a Phoenix Pirates graduate, I still remain loyal to my High school. Phoenix "manhandled" North Bend last night at Jack Woodward stadium, ending the match at 42-7! I guess the hype about Phoenix was correct. I don't recieve the newspaper, but I heard they had a large article in the Mail Tribune. I wouldnt usualy go to the Phoenix football games now that im attending SOU, but my brother, Alex(49), is on Varsity as a freshman.

Hurricane Katrina

It's kinda crazy that like 8 million or so dollars has already been donated to aid the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. This is the most tradgic crisis in America's history. But how much was earned after the tsunami that hit the islands of Sumatra, like 2 million I think. That was one of the most devistating natural diasters of the civilized world. You would think that with all the work that the US went to help that there would be a comperable ammount from the States not including the rest of the world. Im not ripping on the US, it was just something that caught my interest.
