Hmmmm
When ever using a major search engine like Google or Yahoo, do you ever find yourself saying "Yes, that's what I meant" out loud when it asks "Did you mean:?"

Gotta Love Dead Week
So I have been back from Redmond for a couple days now and I feel like crap. I caught a cold the night before we left and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. And because it was like a mini vacation, I find myself even more lazy and tired than before. A perfect time for it to be dead week.

Phoenix High football defeated GOL's conference winner LaGrande 34-12 on Saturday. They move on the semifinals and will compete against second ranked and undefeated Marist. Good luck Alex.
Congratulations Allison, Miss Oregon USA 2006!!!
Allison, my sister, will be on national television in the Miss USA competition on April 21, which is also her birthday, and her grandmother's birthday. Congratulations Allison, you were awesome! She has a long year ahead of her as far as the Miss USA pageant goes, along with other pageant promotion and fund raising. More pictures at Chandlerphoto.com.ps-Donnie, I think I'll get you that autograph now.

My idea has been stolen(minus USB)! Too bad I didn't patent it back in like 9th grade when I made a CAD concept drawing.
November 25, 2005
I'm back for two days because Alex has a playoff game tomorrow, after we will head back up to Redmond to watch my sister pageant. It awesome in at the resort, it was a great place to have Thanksgiving. Everyone helped out making different dishes, it was real fun. And the area is beautiful, it's pretty inclusive, so it's real quiet and peaceful. At night all the trees have Christmas lights up. I'll get pictures.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
I thought that this movie was amazing, just as predicted! I have never read the books, though we do have them. Donnie has never read them either, so he went a different direction with his "review." He tackled how kids today are smarter and able to keep up with intensely complex stories, such as the 'Harry Potter's'. I just thought that by reading them I would get disappointed if they left something out. But coming from the stance of not knowing anything about what is going on, except for the previous three movies, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Gradually through the films they get much darker: Less fun, candy, and little wizards running around and more depth, background, and emotion. From the trailers it would seem that this film would've been action packed, but it wasn't, and I loved it for that. 'Harry Potter' the series is really starting to evolve into something great, and it appeals to all audiences. When I was at the movie this afternoon, my brother and I were the youngest viewers there, all the rest were parents with their kids, or grandparents, and they were laughing just as much as we were. Friendships are big in this movie. You can sense the frustration and love between all the main characters. Something seems to be building up between them, and then the movie leaves you at a "what happens next?" kinda moment. He wins the Cup, Voldemort has returned, and I still can't figure out who Hermione is going to "hook up" with. I might start reading the books now up to 'The Goblet of Fire,' just to see what else happened in the story and what they may allude to in the future. All in all it was an extremely awesome movie, and I totally would spend another $5.25, that I don't have, to see it again.

"Fuck you EB Games, fuck you!" So EB Games called Monday afternoon informing us that we would not be able to pick up the XBOX 360 for 2 days because they were giving out the consoles in order of their reserve date. I asked if it would take 3 days, and the guy say, "No." Now they've called up and said it would take 10 days because they(Microsoft) split the shipment in two. Flippin' Microsoft. We've had the complete deluxe set reserved with 3 wireless controllers, Madden '06, and Perfect Dark Zero since August, now we have to wait even longer. They fucked us good.
November 21, 2005
EB games at the Mall called up last night and let us know that Alex wouldn't be able to pick up his X-Box 360 tonight ::DAMN YOU EB GAMES!!!::. They said that this year they aren't giving then out randomly to those who pre ordered them, this time they will give them out in order of how they were reserved. Kind of stinks, they said it would only take a couple of days. I asked if it took 3 days would we get some sort of compensation, and he said it will be two days, so that's reassuring that we wont have to wait a few weeks. It is kind good though, so now we wont have to wait all night trying to keep a spot, now we just have to go in when a couple of days has passed. Though my brother was fairly high on the reserved list because he reserved in August, they started reserving May. Tuff luck Donnie, I'll let you know when we pick it up.
Steve Jobs introduces the three newest and most awesome iPods of them all. No gags or anything. Try to pick one up before they sell out because I have a sick feeling that all of these are going to be HUGE!

Our Little Vacation
Well my sister, Allison, is going to be in the Miss Oregon USA competition in Redmond, Oregon over Thanksgiving weekend. She is leaving Thursday to go up, but the rest of us are going up Wednesday. We found a pretty nice place to stay at and have Thanksgiving dinner. We're going to be gone from Wednesday the 23rd till Monday the 28th and will be staying at the Eagle Crest Resort in their Eagle Creek Chalets. My brother has a third round state playoff football game on Friday at Speigelberg Stadium against La Grande on Friday, so I'll drive Alex and myself back down to his game and I'll watch. Then I'll drive back up Saturday for Thanksgiving dinner. I little break from school and track is going to be quite nice. It should be pretty nice so I'll get some pictures with my camera.

Pirate Football Wins!!!
Phoenix-28 Wilsonville-7
Way to go Pirates! The Pirates played incredible tonight. Starting off the night with a TD by Marty Joseph off a Spencer Crace interception. I would say that Phoenix manhandled the FORMER state 3A champions. There wasn't a dull moment for Phoenix, ever. I just have one question: Wilsonville who? Tomorrow Yamhill-Carlton play at La Grande, both unranked, and the winner of that game will play Phoenix either at Phoenix's home field or at South Medford's Spiegelberg stadium. Phoenix will have to play on turf the rest of the games( at Roseburg and Autzen ) all the way the state championship match, if they keep winning, so playing at South Medford wouldn't bad a bad choice.

This is just what I have been looking for. That teamed with my watch means I am basically unstoppable at the mountain.
3A Football Playoffs
Tonight third ranked Wilsonville heads down here to Phoenix's Jack Woodward stadium for what should be the best ball game of week. Wilsonville, the defending state champions, has only lost twice all season: Washington and Sherwood. The fifth ranked Phoenix team has only lost once all season, and that was to K.U.( fluke). So what advantages do each team have? Wilsonville is the defending state champion, they have the two-time defensive player of the year, they obviously have a lot of players, due to the hugeness of Wilsonville. Phoenix has a lot of Varsity returnees from last year, 18, they have a good quarterback and three very solid backs. Also, Wilsonville has a turf field, Phoenix doesn't and has a sticky, and muddy field, which I think can play to their advantage. Phoenix has been a sleeper for most the year, they've sat at fifth place or lower in rankings, and have been practicing for this game at their hidden little Phoenix High field.
GO PIRATES!!!
Superman returns! I think that this movie will be a good one. Though it a DC film, it does have good potential. The teaser is also flippin' sweet and is good for trying to get attention. Most(teasers) show you nothing really, usually just monologues or some crappy panning out shots, but this one has almost none, speaking that is, it's all action.

Moleskine Question #1
Has anyone else found the "hidden" magnetic strip inside their Moleskine? I knew that there was one on the packaging, but this is the first Moleskine, of mine, I have found with the strip inside as well.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire makes the grade. This movie is going to be awesome. It is one movie that I will surely not miss at midnight on opening day. Harry Potter and The Chronicle of Narnia will be two big movies of the year.
'Goblet of Fire,' "is a mature, tense, frightening and altogether masterful film. It is easily the best in a quartet that."

Dear Southern Oregon Blogosphere,
Erin, the newest member of our SOB squad, is in need of some creative thinkers. She is planning on setting up a "Battle of the Bands" for her senior project, which is next school year. She needs people to help out in all aspects of her project. REPORT TO ERIN'S BLOG IF YOU CAN HELP OR NEED MORE INFORMATION!
"This will pretty much be the most kickass thing ever to land in Medford..."
Well I guess the Phoenix high boys soccer team lost in the second round of the state playoffs. They did incredible this year. They really weren't expected to do much, but they pulled off a big time win in Ontario to get the second round. They lost to Central, who happens to be tied for first in 3A boys soccer. I loved playing soccer there. I had so much fun, and the coaches are awesome. I guess you can say that I was "a pretty big deal." Here is a clipping from the Mail Tribune on a game during my senior year at PHS, and here's one from my sophmore year as well. I remember that game so vividly, as well as all of the rest of them. I wish that SOU had a soccer team, I would have played like that. And with all the talent in the alley we would have been good. Ashland has a club team, but I don't want to put my heart, blood, sweat, and tears, into something that wont get school recognition. I would want that raider on my jersey, I'd have it no other way.
Medford, Oregon
I love Medford. I would even go as far as to argue that it is the greatest town to live in. Scenery is absolutely stunning. We have hot summers, beautiful winters, and the most amazing fall season. It is a place where everyone comes to relax and get away from the busyness of the bigger cities. I have lived here for almost 16 years now and I honestly wouldn't like to move anywhere else. The Oregon coast, Mt. Ashland and Bachelor, desert flats in Lakeview, lush forest in Yamhill, white water rapids throughout Shady Cove, all are within ear shot. Not to mention the tourist attractions that are in our area. I think that it is the diversity of our region that is so appealing. A lot of people, not from Oregon, assume we only have rain like our northern neighboring city of Portland. Our downtown is gradually getting nicer as well. It is becoming town to just go and walk around and look at the shops, much like Ashland. I just started thinking about the blissfulness of Medford when I went outside to take some sunset pictures and though I would post my thoughts on the greatest town to live in the entire U.S.

My Moleskine Paper Clip Hack
This is my newest Moleskine hack, at least I think it's new. It isn't much but I thought that it came in handy. At least once a day at school I have someone ask me for a paper clip; So I bought a bunch of these larger "gold" ones. One fits perfectly into the spine and can be taken out just as easy. But put it in just as I did, the other way gets stuck and will mess up the spine. Trust me, I have first-hand experience:(
They made the Mini Mac to be small for a reason, but these add-ons are pretty nice.
This is also really nice.

Do you absolutely love the Motorola RAZR, but hate their dumpy interface? Hate paying sooo much money for such a small phone? Then this is exactly what you need!

Johnny Lechner is living the good life. He is 29 years old, he's in his 12th year at the University of Wisconsin at Whiteweter, and has 242 credits! And the best part is that he doesn't have to pay for any of it, in fact he is being supported to stay in college. He is the modern day Van Wilder

Fuckin' Chuck Norris
Anyone who's ever watched Saturday Night Live(SNL) knows of the legends and stories about Bill Braskey. But has anyone heard the legends about Chuck Norris? With some help I have found some that keep you laughing, if not crying, from the very start. Everyone NEEDS to read them, they will brighten up you day. If you have the time go ahead and read through the random facts as well and rate them, there are some decent ones in there as well. And if you think you have a good story to add, go ahead and submit it."Chuck Norris recently had the idea to sell his urine as a canned beverage. We know this beverage as Red Bull."

Sean brought up something I've heard all too often since The OC debuted: The resemblance between Adam Brody and myself. I've tried to play it off like it was nothing, but when girls repeatedly refered to me as " The guy that looks like Adam Brody" instead of Adam Machado I became a little annoyed.

SOU Basketball
Southern played both the University of Oregon on Wednesday and Oregon State this week. On Wednesday SOU traveled to Eugene to play UofO at the sold-out McArthur to unfortunately record a loss against the Pac-10 Ducks. With 8 minutes left the score was tied at 50-all until the Oregon Ducks went on a "game-sealing" 9-0 run. All-American Shea Washington had a game high of 18 points and a team high 7 rebounds.Tonight at Gill Coliseum the Raiders faced another loss, 75-60, against another Pac-10 team, the Oregon State Beavers, but the SOU Raiders did have "the best player in Gill Coliseum." Shea Washington put up powerful numbers: 29 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 blocks! Washington went 8 of 14 shots and 12 of 13 at the line.

On The Horizon
I have been messing around with my blog trying to find creative color schemes and messing with fonts to enhance aesthetic appearance. I have been making up designs for my header and footer as well. I am planning on getting my own dot com and when I do I want to have a fresh/clean new look for everyone.
How Typical
Wow, there is this lady singing "Jannie's got a gun" right next to me in the computer lab. While everyone is staring in disgust(her voice was horrible) her phone rings[loud] and she begins to receive an order for something I can't quite make out, I think it is an animal of some sort because she is talking about how the little one is "still on the tit" and there are no females left. She has the loudest voice I have ever heard for being in a this type of environment(quite). She has to be from Ashland.

Down with pictures, up with statuettes! Icon said to be making a 3D scanner and 3D printer, based on Scott Klinker's concept design made entirely of technology we have now, to make mini statuettes based on any object. He had already tested it on himself (does he workout?) with the first prototype model. It would be awesome if it were initially made big enough for group shots.

With Donnie's post as inspiration I tried adding images with a little something extra. I had to go into the template and change a few things, BY MYSELF. I was pretty proud to see the finished result. I used to have a border around all of my images, and it looked ugly with the grey border around them on the white background. So I went in and changed it. I still don't understand a lot of shit in there(template), but I have time to learn.

Just finishing my paper on Halloween as a "Cultural Text." I decided not to go with Donnie's idea, as genius as it is, only because I don't think that I could stretch the topic out for as long as the paper is required to be. No worries though, I chose a enticing topic and will for "exceed standards."
iPod Nano
Wow, there are a lot of bitches out there wining about scratches on their iPod Nano. What's the big deal with scratches anyway. Though it may not look pretty when trying to show it off to your friends, but scratches definitely wont affect the was it plays at all. It doesn't even have any mechanical pieces to get broken if it is shaken about, that's the beauty of the iPod's. I have a few MP3 players(minidiscs) that are scratched to shit and I didn't sue Panansonic or Sony. Should I have? Fuck no, things like that happen. Lets just start making the iPod out of kevlar and carbon fiber so it wont even break if you were to shoot it. Hell, if you are going to pay $200 plus dollars on a very fine media player, wouldn't you think to buy something to protect it? Glasses have cases, CD players have cases, even some shoes come with cases. What makes everyone so damn special that they don't have to purchase one, and then sue the manufacturers? What's $30 dollars anyway? Not much compared to $250. It's just a little assurance that you Nano is safe from scratches."My dog's chew toys get less scratches than using my nano for three hours in my pocket."Well dog toys are usually made of rubber designed to withstand the force of a chewing/biting dog, and rubber itself doesn't really scratch, so I would take that as a valid argument for the Nano and it's lack of scratch resistance. I mean what is scratch resistant any ways. A whole lot of things are labeled scratch resistant, but usually always end up getting on no matter what.
I voiced my opinion(comment 55), and it's exactly that...MY opinion.

10:24am
It has been snowing here at SOU for the past 2 and a half hours, really hard, and it seems that the snow is sticking for now. Good thing I had school or else I think that I would have missed it (living in Medford in all). I'm not sure if it is or has been snowing in Medford, it probably isn't, but just at the first Ashland exit it wasn't and Medford is at an even a lower elevation than that. I hope that this is a sign that we might have another good year up at Mt. Ashland for all the years it had no snow or was complete ice.

Still snowing and it's going strong!

Week VII
This first term has gone by fast. It seems like not too long ago school had just started, and now there are only a few weeks left. I pretty happy I didn't have any real midterms, I just have to write a lot of paper, which is a pretty fair trade off. Its good knowing that the term is almost out of the way and we have a few real nice and relaxing holidays coming up. My mom loves the holidays: sales are going on, leaves are changing colors, decorating, and she's even getting ready for Christmas. With my school and track schedule being as it is it will be nice to be able to be around my friends and family more. My sister is going to be in the Miss Oregon competition during Thanksgiving weekend, I'm happy for her because she did real good in her last(first ever) competition and she has been working real hard towards this one: working out, finding sponsors, buying dresses, doing interviews, and on top of all that, working and living her life. She has a lot of support from her friends and family, moral and financial, and we, as well as herself, think that she has a pretty good chance. I love seeing her happy, and when she did her last pageant she was happy.Good Luck Allison!
See you in Redmond!

Funny Videos
Just a few more funny videos I have found online. One is from a episode from Scare Tactics, which is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen, the second is from an episode of SNL with Lindsay Low-class acting as Hermione, the other is a video and song about the life of an Emo. Enjoy.

DUCKS WIN! DUCKS WIN! DUCKS WIN!

Wow, I was listening to the game on the radio and it was intense towards the end. On the radio it took sooo long for the announcer to say that the possibly winning field goal for Cal was no good. Dixon just wasn't getting things done in there, it seemed that there were too many 3rd downs not getting completed. And where the hell did Leaf come from? That 3rd string QB really stepped it up today. I loved it on the replay after he threw the TD in OT, he threw up his fist in celebration, Intense. Autzen is like another man out there, those fans were jacked: every jumping and people swinging their shirts in the rain. Shall I predict that Oregon will be in the BCS bowl?

Update
Phoenix slaughtered the Henley hornets 49-0! The Pirates shut things off at the middle of the third quarter and they still scored another couple TD's. Phoenix has a the bye the first week of playoffs. Up north, Wilsonville and the 7th ranked Elmira(8-2) will play next week to see who comes to Phoenix the week after(Nov. 18-19). More than likely it will be Wilsonville(8-2) and Phoenix(8-1) at Phoenix. Not sure if Phoenix will go up in ranking,Wilsonville is ranked 2nd in state and will probably remain there despite the loss. But rankings, in high school football, don't really mean much because you gotta travel, weather is crucial, fans are nuts, fields are muddy or hard, nerves can get to ya. Basically anything can happen in playoffs, and everything matters.
#3A Playoff bracket
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good luck Pirates! Tonight is a guaranteed win over Henley, and it will be the Pirates first perfect season since 1993. The Phoenix Pirates are ranked 5th in state for 3A football. Sherwood and Wilsonville, who are 1st and 2nd, are also playing tonight. Hopefully everything works out for the Pirates. This year they do have a chance to take state, but if not they will be top contenders for the next couple years. They will be losing a lot of seniors this year, but most of the real stars are juniors, I think.
I'm sooo sorry Scott. What are you going to do with your love...Your love...Your precious. Buy all that you can before the year is out!

Should We Be Excited?
Everyone already knows Kevin Federline is a flippin' hoser. Before he started boning miss Spears he was a backup dancer, but now he's been living off Britney's hot ass since they got together. But that's over now: He got married, he has a kid[another one], he's guaranteed millions, but that's not enough. Kevin Federline has now started "rapping" and is making a fool out of himself, and his album "The Truth" will be released next year. Supposedly Britney says he sucks, but other sources say the she is encouraging and saying that he can "flow." I heard a real fifty second clip of "Y'all aint ready" he put out and it is the most childish shit I've heard in a while. The music itself is OK, sounds like it is inspired from a professional choreographer/backup dancer ::wink::. But the lyrics are shit, come on, he says "cuz" as in cousin, how white trash is that? And he definitely doesn't have the voice to rap, even if you got "skills," a nerdy or girlie voice will ruin everything. Kevin sounds like Eminem with nasal congestion. He claims he is ahead of his time, yet he's already getting compared to Vanilla-Ice."My prediction is that y'all gonna hate on the style we create, straight 2008."More here and here. And if you think you hate Britney and Kevin check this out.
Kiowa Indians
Finally starting to go over a topic in school I have been totally interested in learning about for a long time now, my heritage. My Grandma is full blooded Kiowa Indian, my Grandpa is Kiowa as well, but is only about three quarters. When my dad was born he was immediately put up for adoption, and his mother then left for the reservation in Oklahoma: that where most of the older Kiowa Indians reside today. My father has never seen or met, in person, his biological parents. He has only talked for a brief moment to his Mother over the telephone when he turned 21. She basically called and said that she was his real mother, this is what kind of Indian you are, she is still alive, and for legal reasons she wasn't allowed to talk to him till he was 21 years of age. We have heard from the reservation that she was still alive, we even learned her first name which I sadly don't know how to spell, but that was about 6 years ago. She never talked to our family directly. She suffered from alcoholism, like many Native Americans do, and she isn't very stable, mentally. The troubling part about the whole situation is that we have no information showing how much Indian my father is. When he was put up for adoption he was left with no information saying what tribe he was from or parents names, making incredibly hard to try and get government money owed to us. We have been looking in California and Arizona for his real birth certificate, but we have come up with nothing. So for the longest time I have never really known anything about the Kiowa Indians. I knew that they were plains Indians, but other than that I had no real knowledge of their culture, my culture, my heritage. So now in my Native American Myth and Culture class we are reading a book written and illustrated by two Kiowa Indians, Father and son, about the history, culture, prayers, rituals, myths, and stories of the Kiowa Indians. Most people don't believe that I am Indian, I think that it is because I am pretty light skinned for a "real" Indian. My dad and younger brothers, Andrew and Austin, received the dark hair, dark skin gene. I am pretty excited to get to read this book, I am supposed to have it read by Tuesday, but I'm sure that I will have it completely read before the week is out.
