A Perfect Replacement

I've already lost my cleaning chamois for my iPhone. I looked on Apple to see if there was a replacement for it of if there was a comperable product mentioned. Most were bundle packages that included glass cleaner and various sizes of chamois, but they cost a little too much. I did the only thing that felt natural when faced with a problem; Went to Costco.

The Costco optical department has a perfect replacement chamois that includes a slim plastic case and a certificate of authenticity (whooooaaaa!). It fits in my wallet perfectly, and because it has a case it wont gather any grit to potentially scratch the glossy screen.

Now I don't if it's because I work at Costco, but I just went up and asked for a cleaning chamois and she handed me a fresh one. I don't talk to her that often so that's whey I don't know it they are free, but if there is a Costco near, its not a bad idea to ask.

The Simpson's

The Simpson's was awesome to say the least. Perfectly done. It was everything that I hoped the movie would be. I don't like writing reviews really, I either like the movie and tell you what was funny or memorable or I tell you I didn't like the movie and everything that I feel was a leading factor to my decision.

In other news:
-I've been on my iPhone all day. It arrived at approximately 10:30am.
-Going to Portland to go accessory shopping.
-All the hours I worked payed off.
-And yes, the iPhone is better than it looks. Better than expected, and I expected genius.

55378008*

My iPhone should get here by the end of this week. I Like that Apple has little tutorial videos on the various ways to use the applications of the iPhone: Music, calls, panoramic, using the keyboard, pinching, un-pinching, locking iphone, and syncing it. Should I have bought 2? Ya know, twice as many calls.

*if you turn you monitor, laptop, or iPhone (wink) upside down "55378008" actually says "BOOBLESS."

The Duder Lives!

I got to talk to Scott just now. This was the first time I have got to talk to either of my best friends at all since he or Donnie departed. It's crazy that he's been gone for almost two months now. He said he would give "everyone" a call with next couple day 'cause he is done with the extreme physical part of basic and now on to taking classes. Apparently its the first time he has gotten to wear normal type clothes in six weeks. And the Coke he is having is the best one he has ever had. It's not until something like when you truly start appreciating the small stuff. Be it the clothes you just throw on naturally when you hop out of bed or the Coke you bought at 711.

Oh, yeah, he weighed 252 last summer, 214 before he left and now he weighs 184. I hope I recognize that fool when he gets back.

I Love ya, bud. Good luck.

Photosynthesis

One of my favorite skits from the 'Letterman Show' was when he went out on the streets and asked people, "What is photosynthesis?" I also appreciate the bizarre little mini (redundant?) ads and public notices in 'Talladega Nights' that were in the movie itself and also in the extra features. I've taken the two and mixed 'em up real nice and served something similar awkwardly at work while...Working, or while in the break room, which makes for some great faces as well.

It started with weird silence while stocking. I asked a guy, "What do you think about global warming?" He actually gave me a pretty good answer explaining how he thinks the government is exaggerating on how severe the situation really is and how certain parts of our country that are not know for their cropping land will become agricultural "hot spots" (no pun intended) because increase in temperature. I was amazed with that and started asking questions either I know they wouldn't know or made no sense.

Here are some of the messes I've some up with:

"Did you know pigs can't look up? Why is that?

"What do you think about global warming?"

"What do you think about the situation in So. Cal. dealing with rabid seagulls attacking the Asian tourist population?"

"What you do think about the overly aggressive Orca whales patrolling the shores of the west coast demolishing ocean survey bueys?"

"What do you think about the gangs of stray dogs breaking into cat shelters all throughout Texas?"

I'm looking forward to keeping this little gag up and also looking forward to some of your ideas for more questions. Giveittome!

So Appreciated

I received an "Employee Appreciation Notice" today for going "above and beyond."

A couple days ago there was a member that came to me inquiring about some stuff she couldn't locate. I told her to continue with her main shopping and I would run around gathering all the items she couldn't find. I always go after the opportunities they give me a chance to really run around the warehouse. It's like in school when running around the halls. You feel infinitely faster truly are, so that means that I am like the fastest man ever, since I already know I'm fast. Any who.

I got back to the member and saw that she had some money in hand and planned on giving it to me as a tip. I told her that if another member saw me take that, or an employee, and they told management, I would be fired immediately. She tried to offer a soda. "Do you have about 300 straws? Because I would have to share that with every employee if you were to give that to me." I instead put out the idea that she give me a high-five and possibly leave a note in the comment box. She left a nice note.

This notice was letting me know what she said, what management thought of what she said and my actions, and praises from anyone who read it. Management had a lot of kind things to say about me "setting the standard" at Costco. It was nice seeing all my old managers comments and their encouragement. There was a spot where I could leave a comment and I about went into my sarcastic/exaggerated speech about how "Hey, I work at Costco and it is only expected of me" and "That's just me being me" speech, but I didn't want to offend anyone or look more bad ass than I already am, because I know that would be unbearable for most. I simply put "Thanks, everyone."

This would be my 2nd Employee Appreciate Notice, but I was gypped somehow and the other was never recorded. It was a really good one too, good enough to make the Costco magazine easily. I'll post on it soon.

Happy Birthday, Drew!

Drew turned 21 today. We went to Shoji's, like always, and he had his first legal drink. He got a Harikari, a complementary double shot of Jager, and some other drink. He then decided to go play drunk Wii with his friends and enjoy some White Russians. You stay classy, Dreadful.

Let The Bodies Hit The Floor

Maybe one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Better than the churchy scene in Borat.

For An iPhone, Yes

Our local Cingular/AT&T easily had enough iPhones for the first few days of sales, but they had to run out of their first shipment eventually. To order one at the Cingular would take about a month now to arrive (from now). I could order one from Apple, with free shipping, but it would still take two weeks. I'm not gonna wait another month after getting paid to get an iPhone or wait two weeks for my $600 iPhone to arrive from from Apple. That being said there is only one other option: Head North.

I plan on heading to Pioneer Place in Portland and purchasing it at the Apple store there. I could also stop in Tigard, but I like heading into Portland and its really not that much further. I'll head out at the end of this month when I get paid. I've been putting out extra hours and getting rid of my old stereo equipment just in case I feel like getting any other accessories. I'll keep ya posted.

iFact: In 1995 some dude registered the domain name "iPhone.com." In 2007 it was purchased from him for around ONE MILLION DOLLARS and now jumps to the iPhone page at Apple.com. Lucky bastard.

Randomness

The Interwebs hath broked'ed. It's all web 2.0's fault.

Where are they now?: Sports movie tomboys. Remember the Titans, Little Giants and Bad News Bears all had their tomboys mentioned.

The stars of the Harry Potter movies celebrate with the release of the newest HP book. NSFW.

Wii Works Wonders

I have been playing Wii bowling a lot, so i decided to test out my new skills at the Lanes of Lava. I played with my brothers and some of their friends to see if practice on the Wii helps any. When leaving I came across the Jag, Molle, The Weaver and her sister. I was invited to play a game and accepted.

Sure, they talked big and had displayed tactics that were questionable, but I killed 'em all. The only one that even came close was our former BoTY, Mole, but she was some 40 points back, and I'm an athlete. Lava Lanes, where the fun ERUPTS! Duh.

iPhone Features

The iPhone has some serious new features to it, many of which are new to Apple, but work like a veteran Apple application.

Here's To Pop Tarts

Satisfying whether they are toasted or not, and always classy when they are cool.
What about when toasted? Perfect whether they are browned dark or warmed just a little. Frosting, no frosting, fruit or 'mallow and chocolate.
But don't forget about cinnamon!
Late night, mid afternoon or a morning snack before school.
Always satisfying.
35 minutes ago, now, in ten minutes, in a couple of days, next month. Perfect.

And Wii're Off

I mention earlier that my mom picked up a Wii. It's pretty damn fun. I don't know much about all the game that are out for the Wii, but I think that Wii sports are fun by themselves. They have bowling, golf, baseball, and tennis. The jump takes you to a video I made of my brother playing Wii tennis. I think that golf is the most fun and tennis is the most fun to watch. It's pretty intense.
