I hadn't been to a Niner game in a long while, and it's something I really want to make an annual event. There are so many things to the latest of the new Batman movies that show you that they aren't just looking to make a incredible superhero movie, but a top notch movie in all categories. Heath Ledger's Joker surpassed all expectations, Two Face was perfect, and batman has even more tricks up his sleeves, well, sweet arm blades. I don't want to say anything else about this movie. They were very entertaining. It has even aroused my interest to try and scrape something funny up about a family member. It kinda irked him way back when, when we would confront him about it, but nowadays it just good ol' dinner table humor.

My brother Austin for the longest time harbored a secret crush on the Backstreet Boys. The dates on paper don't seem like they match up in my head, but I remember him asking our mom for the Backstreet Boys new CD Millennium and a new CD player to listen to it on. Christmas morning came and 10 year old Austin came running upstairs and starting going through his stocking. He exploded in his pants when he found his brand new Backstreet Boys CD and a shiny new CD player. He opened it up and listened to it right there and all throughout the day. He even made up a new dance move the likes of which the world has never seen, and devoted it to that CD. Later, when little Austin found out that the rest of his brothers didn't like the Backstreet Boys, he broke up his CD and hid it underneath his bed. When we asked him why he broke it he said it was because he never even really liked 'em, and that mom for some reason got the impression that he wanted it for Christmas along with a new CD player. He claimed he didn't understand how mom came to that conclusion, but later admitted that he was embarrassed and said he realized that guys didn't listen the Backstreet Boys and that they were, and are, a joke. Everyone knows that 'N Sync was way cooler. I mean they had good dances moves, like the one where they are acted like puppets. Jesus that was clever.

Anyways, what a funny guy.

Blingo

In the clutch my buddy has won on Blingo! We had some nice dinners and some well spent family time. Alex went 2-2 and was knocked out before the round before the placing rounds. He wasn't happy about the way he finished the season but he beat guys that beat him last year at state, and it damn near made me cry when he did. He's also wrestling seniors that have about 15 pounds of muscle over him. He's got a lot of heart. In between his matches I got new jeans, new shoes, new keyboard and one more day off.

@ State Championships

WoW Is Intense

Here is a soundboard made up from a vent session during a raid on WoW. New England on the verge of immortality with the hottest quarterback and wide-out in the game, and on the other end New York who won only 10 regular season games but got hot when they needed to be: The playoffs.

I said once it was NY and NE to be in the final that it was either going to be a blowout in favor of NE or NY was going to win by a hair. NY just doesn't have the fire power to totally dominate NE, but fortunately the Target was on NE and Tom Brady.

Eli was for sure the MVP in this one. When he scrambled away from that near sack and got the throw off to the guy that caught it with his helmet was the game changer. A few plays later it was the rookie tight end that really got the Giants rollin'. For anyone who didn't know, Kevin Boss, the rookie TE I speak of, graduated from Philomath High School, dominated for Western Oregon University and was drafted in the 4th round. Hell of a way to start his NFL career.

It's Just Not Gangster

My brother made me aware that he feels that it is ridiculous that people, while driving , will talk on the phone with their right hand and steer with their bad hand. It doesn't at all seem ridiculous to me granted that I am under the impression that the majority of the population of people with hands are dominant to their right. I think that there are a few different explanations that might help him, and anyone else that may have come to a similar conclusion, understand and possibly help cope with the fact this act, in all actuality, is very polite.

Since I received my license I have seen a great number of different people, with varying race and age and belonging numerous ethnic groups, the drive with only one hand, and typically, believe it or not, the common hand to steer with is the left hand. Now if the majority of all people with hands are dominantly right-handed, why are there so many people that steer with their left? Hmmm, weird. I believe it to be common courtesy. When you drive you have, or have the possibility to having, passengers, correct? Yes. They didn't make rigs with seating for up to seven additional people for nothing. They did it because traveling in groups is fun, or potentially the most annoying and space invading experience you may ever know.

So where do those passengers sit? They don't sit on the left side of you; they sit behind and to the right of you. Now if you were to say, use your right hand to steer, you would be closing yourself off to your passengers, your guests, your friends. It may also put out the "vibe" that you are angry, upset, or even depressed. I mean have you ever seen anyone that steers with their right hand? It's just saddening and it looks as if they just came from a funeral. If you have a female passenger this might lead to the dreaded "what are you thinking?" question. The truth is that steering with you left hand only opens yourself up to being able to communicate and flow with your friends, family, and loved ones that may be in the vehicle with you. Also, it makes them feel like they are "part of the group," and vice versa. Everyone wants to be part of a group or rather, nobody wants to be left out. When you use your right hand to talk on you phone you are telling your passengers, "Okay, guys, I'm am on the phone with someone else, but I am still here for YOU." I guess to sum up this claim I would like to say that when you see someone steering with the left hand, despite the fact that they are probably right handed, you can come to a strong conclusion that, "Hey! That seems to be a really considerate person. He/she has some really lucky passengers."

I think another valid argument is that it is just not gangster. When you steer with your left hand you are able to slouch your body down towards the center of the car as to not be detected by the authorities. It mean if you slouch toward the window, all dem homies on the street would see your face and that could potentially lead to harm being brought upon you and your family (blood family and gang family). And when you steer lefty your right arm it totally free to crank up dat Soulja Boy, thus producing dank amounts of boom, and more than likely increasing your street cred, which is so vital in this world today. How you gonna get gat out of the glove box if your right hand is on the wheel? Heh, amateurs baffle me.

There is a a good saying I like to use when trying to prepare myself for an acting roll that is of the "gangster" type. The saying is, "Left is right. Right is wrong." This can be directed at the idea of steering lefty vs. righty. I also believe that this also pertains to the characteristics of our country and the gangsters the inhabit it. The left coast is the west coast, and that's the best coast. Fact, 'nuff said.

And the ultimate conclusion when it comes to steering with your right hand? One: It is in bad taste and unbecoming of someone who would like to remain in good terms with friends, family and guests. And two: It's just not gangster.

Mini Vay-Kay

Yesterday marked the 5th day that I have not had to work. I scratched my eye last Saturday, had Sunday and Monday off, and they called me to say not to come in Tuesday and Wednesday. I took vacation pay so I wouldn't have to feel the effects of not working, and far as cash flow. I've gone almost 2 years without using any of my vacation pay and if they have to cut hours I might as well use it. In like 5 months all my paid days off (approx. 120hrs) gets renewed anyway, so I don't feel so bad about using it.

Anymore days off and might forget what to do at work.

There Will Be Blood

Twas definitely a interesting movie. I left the movie theater trying to figure out just what it was missing. Something just didn't sit well once the movie came to an end the and the credits started rolling. After talking with my brother it wasn't that the film was missing anything at all. Seems like so many of the films you see, even if there is no other story going on or a sequel lined up, it leaves you hanging there with a 'what next' kind of feeling. The story in There Will Be Blood was simply just wrapped up beautifully by the end. It was kinda weird.

Daniel Day-Lewis was the movie for sure, but a big note worthy performance that of Paul Dano. For how little you see him in the film, and in any other films for that matter, his presence was definitely felt here in this role.

"I'm finished."

Are You Ready?

I'm ready for Super Bowl XLII?
